Capex
Simone CAPEX is a tattoo artist born in 1973.
From an early age he draws, creates and develops his idea to get tattooed. Immersed in the underground culture of stadium stands and punk or hardrock music he decides to get tattooed by a friend who used a wooden stick and 3 small needles. It was June of 1990… the year after CAPEX decides to satisfy the many requests of his friends who lived in the same popular neighborhood of Pistoia.
And in fact from July 1991 he started to tattoo by hand for a year and a half and he’ll never stops tattooing.
Intrigued by that difficult world, at the time, he began to build himself the first rudimentary electrical machines.
From there and after years of travel CAPEX refines his technique until tattooing even during his military service in the Paratroopers in 1995, and in 2000 and after having already seen some tattoo conventions he decided to develop various techniques and at the same time doing tattoo flash, paintings and various forms of art.
Then the opening of a tattoo parlour on a seaside city in the mid 2000s til to open his last and current studio in the center of Montecatini Terme, the GREAT SEAL TATTOO LODGE in 2011.
After 34 years of experience, many trips, conventions around Italy and around the globe, he is the owner of this tattoo shop where other tattoo artists work and where guests of international level also come to work.
He developed many styles, but he excell above all in the Japanese style and in the classic and traditional style but with his unmistakable touch, exalting the strong contrasts of colors and performing the work with strong graphic connotations to last well over time.
Cicca
Marco, aka CICCA, is a tattoo artist born in 1999 and he has always drawn and painted, although not having an artistic school education, since he was 16 years old. Young age that will lead him to want to embark on the path of tattooing and that intrigues him to the point of walking this road in 2020.
After several attempts at home, he joins first as an apprentice then as a professional tattoo artist at GREAT SEAL TATTOO LODGE for over four years under the supervision of CAPEX.
The style that represents it’s the black and gray realism not only from a purely point of view of portraits but also the development of a realism based on surrealism and adding even more his graphic effects.
What distinguishes him is the great empathy and professionally in talking to customers, understanding them and developing the work to amaze not only those who will “dress” his works but also who will see it realized as well as the emotion that you can feel when you admire a painting.
Marco, aka CICCA, is a tattoo artist born in 1999 and he has always drawn and painted, although not having an artistic school education, since he was 16 years old. Liv Needles
Lisa, aka LIV NEEDLES, born in 1998, has always proved good at drawing starting from the early years of elementary schools to copy various comics and reproducing them on the diaries of the classmates.
She obtained his diploma at the Artistic Lyceum of Lucca and later, while approaching various fields in the artistic world, she wanted to continue drawing and consequently at the course she started doing “permanent drawings” on the skin of people.
Her first work experience as a tattoo artist was at GREAT SEAL TATTOO LODGE 6 years ago, approaching the tattoo immediately in a graphic and semi-realistic way.
LIV NEEDLES wants to recreate a pencil or pen drawing in an elegant way also on the skin: indeed is a graphic realization and representative fineline and dotwork her idea in finalizing a concept and then that to complete as a tattoo.
Her message is to perform a tattoo on a person putting their interiority to realize what is the customer request but with her particular stylistic touch.
LIV NEEDLES sometimes works in Italian and foreigner conventions but you usually can find her in the afternoons from Tuesday to Saturday at GREAT SEAL TATTOO LODGE.
